Program: Complex Continuing Care - Respiratory Care

Description of Services: Long-term complex medical management program and for patients who require long-term mechanical ventilation.  Adults with acute respiratory failure due to acute exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD); weaning of COPD patients from Non-Invasive Ventilation; patients requiring mechanical ventilation post ICU hospitalization; and or post COVID recovery.  The program supports prevention or treatment of recurrent respiratory failure in patients with multiple respiratory co-morbidities.
Requirements
Fees: Most services covered by OHIP * co-payment fee required * subsidies available to qualified applicants
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Adults who have respiratory illness, failure or post COVID mechanical ventilatory dependency
